Our speaker is William Redman, Sheriff for St. Joseph County.
Sheriff Redman will address several important topics concerning our community. He will talk of the mental health and homelessness in our community and how it will be affected by the new Indiana Law. He also will discuss the undocumented people of our community and the immigration concerns they presently are facing. Sheriff Redman will also discuss the violence in our community and ideas for reducing violence.
Speaker's Bio: Sheriff Redman was born and raised in the City of South Bend. He graduated from Riley High School, attended Bethel College, and is a graduate of the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy. Currently Sheriff Redman resides in the city of Mishawaka with his wife Kim of 33 years. Together they have four adult daughters and 11 grandchildren.
Sheriff Redman joined the Saint Joseph County Police Department in 1994. He worked his way through the ranks, becoming a Sergeant, Lieutenant, Assistant Chief and then was elected to serve as our Sheriff, in 2018 and again in 2022. He serves on several local boards, including the 525 Foundation, CASIE Center, and LOGAN Center.
