Our speaker is Amanda Buchholz, Recruiter/Trainer of Volunteers, CASA Program of South Bend (Court Appointed Special Advocates).

A Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) participates in Child in Need of Services (“CHINS”) abuse and neglect cases. In Indiana, CASA volunteers are fully empowered to advocate for the children. They have the right to attend hearings, present information to the court, obtain relevant records, and make recommendations and requests to the court on behalf of the child. Amanda will talk about the CASA program and answer questions residents have about becoming an Advocate.
